Pardon the Pun!

Well less than a 1 week until we head out on vacation & I thought I would give you an update on the Green Bikini Resolution. This is the final leg of the race & I am powering it home by increasing my workout schedule.

After 4 weeks of just looking at  the Green Bikini, I decided I had better try it on & see if I was living  a pipe dream so I tried it on for my husband’s opinion.  He is a tell it like it is fellow & has no compunction to let me know when something looks bad  so I knew I would have the whole truth & it would not be sugar coated. With bated breath & a couple of slow turns I got the thumbs up  & with a flourish he cut off the store tags!

Fitness Workout:

  • I’m crunching 2-3 times per day – every ab muscle I can find.
  • Working on squats 2-3 times per day.
  • I am going to the gym daily; 30 minutes on the elliptical machine, 25 minutes on the rowing machine & walking  a mile on the treadmill to cool down , then stretch & stretch some more.

Diet:

  • Just eating healthy, smaller portions & very low on the carbs.
  • No more than 3 glasses of wine a week & over  the past few weekends I have had a couple of cosmo’s.
  • Evening craving. I’ll pop some popcorn in a bit of canola oil – I love popcorn.

I am not a calorie counter but this week I am counting my calorie burn as  I still have 1-2 lbs to go. I have been working hard on toning my muscles and as I increase my exercise I find that my weight is remaining the same. Is it because  I am building muscle? On this final week  I will burn ~500 calories   a day at the gym, that should let me burn 1 lb+   for my final week. We’ll see how it goes…
